"The highest leverage of all is to keep oneself unattached in the arena of paradigms, to realize that NO paradigm is "true," that even the one that sweetly shapes one's comfortable worldview is a tremendously limited understanding of an immense and amazing universe. People who cling to paradigms (just about all of us) take one look at the spacious possibility that everything we think is guaranteed to be nonsense and pedal rapidly in the opposite direction. Surely there is no power, no control, not even a reason for being, much less acting, in the experience that there is no certainty in any worldview. But everyone who has managed to entertain that idea, for a moment or for a lifetime, has found it a basis for radical empowerment."
– Dona Meadows.
I also translate AHO into – Avoid Hard Opinions. Listen to all paradigms and observe which paradigm resonates with you and which paradigm achieves the purpose. Each leverage point has its exception, and each paradigm has its pros and cons.
"The higher the leverage point, the more the system resists changing it-that's why societies rub out truly enlightened beings. I don't think there are cheap tickets to system change. You have to work at it, whether that means rigorously analyzing a system or rigorously casting off paradigms. In the end, it seems that leverage has less to do with pushing levers than it does with disciplined thinking combined with strategically, profoundly, madly letting go."
– Dona Meadows.
I choose the paradigm that we are arranging the chairs on the titanic and we need to jump ship soon. All this SDGs and Sustainability initiatives and Regulations are kicking the ball to the right, they are not doing any real traction to move the needle on climate change. The ship is sinking and we are putting weak targets for 2030, 2040, and 2050.
A better paradigm shift here is that there is a new ship that we can mount. It is the Restoration Ship. I would like to jump on the Ocean Restorer Ship- a Concept ship evolved by the Ocean Arcs' Institute. This ship see us really putting the efforts in restoring our oceans. Oceans is where life all started. It is metaphoric because restoring ocean is just a symbol of restoring our relationships to each other, to the planet. It seams like the oceans are the ones getting the brunt of all our destructive use of earth resources.

Reference is Made to the work of John Todd and his Wife Nancy Jack Todd. In the beginning they envisioned developing an ecological hope ship called Ocean Arc.
Its mission was to provide ecological life support for environmental damaged coastal regions around the world and become a symbol for a new ecological age.
